Seafood Chowder, Shrimp & Grits, and a New Steam Pot!

‘A Taste of Cape Fear’ at the 10th Annual Southport Wooden Boat Show will once again feature Chef Craig Blanks of the Frying Pan Restaurant in Southport’s iconic Yacht Basin. To continue his tradition of providing excellent Southern cooking, Craig is adding a Steam Pot (a.k.a. Frogmore Stew) with shrimp, potatoes, corn, andouille sausage, etc., in his new cooker (see picture). His award-winning Seafood Chowder and delicious Shrimp & Grits are returning to satisfy everyone’s expectation to eat seafood in a coastal fishing village.

Ticket Sales start at 10 am at the Taste of Cape Fear Tent
Food served from 11 AM to 2 PM (or until its gone!)
$5.00/per bowl, crackers, napkins & spoons provided

Proceeds from the Taste of Cape Fear event benefit the annual Southport Wooden Boat Show.

Side Street Bakery – will again provide our early morning coffee outside the Taste of Cape Fear tent as well as a variety of desserts during the 11:00 – 2:00 p.m. serving in the tent. Water will also be available.
